While working for Blade Editorial as the Post Producer I was able to collaborate with Riester and the director Carolyn Corben to create this high fashion inspired spot. Shot on film, part of it in high speed, the timing of the shots and the transitions where really important to the feeling of the spot. A lot of time in pre-pro was spent laying out all the camera moves to make sure they would all work together. The two dresses were made practically, in post we just needed to add the shine. The tub shot with all the poker chips was the most fun. Art Department had blankets with the poker chips glued to them and to try and fill the gaps we also added lots of loose chips. In the end, we had to replace about half the chips with 3D chips to make the shot work. We also created the 3D chip that files towards the camera at the end. Below are some photos taken on set.
